This will be the introductory portion of the Supervisor training. During this Training you will be reviewing the Basic Classroom Procedures and ensuring all new supervisors are aware of the policies as well as basic information about report management and our main mission as the SWAT Team. Ensure they are aware of all of our rules and procedures.
Do not visually share any part of Chapter 2 to the Trainees. Only discuss what they will be doing.
Begin with Informing them about new equipment that that now have access to: Vehicles, Uniforms
Start with Reading over Chapter 1 & Expectations & Policies [In the Courses, the Supervisors will use their prior knowledge and gained knowledge to complete each course & scenario].
Redirect to Chapter 2 and begin with 2.2 - Report Training. [Required: Go over at least 2 Scenarios with different outcomes] [You may Alter the Course in Different ways, such as Changing the type of report or people involved]
After completion of the previous training, begin with 2.3 - Team Management scenarios. [Reminder: FTOs are meant to be watching not only for recruits that perform well, but also ones that take initiative to be leaders.]
After completing the Training Courses, the FTO will go over any problems or issues they may have encountered with the Supervisors so far. FTO requires a debriefing about everything they did in regards to scenarios & any problematic situations. [Example: Supervisor A has a personal problem with Supervisor B].
Towards the End of the Courses, FTO will direct to 2.4 - Performance Tests and pull up the answer sheet to the test. The Trainees will have 10 Minutes to complete the test.
At the End of the Training, FTOs may discuss improvements, problems, issues, bad habits that a trainee may have had or improved on. They provide a conclusion on to whether a trainee passes or not.
